The associative series of my works is aimed less at the object than at the energy concealed in it. Pictures keep our imagination in the three dimensions accomodating the "drama of life" materialized as form by the forces of attraction-repulsion, strain-relaxation, motion-rest. I wish to render all those energies in my "Silhouettes". I offer a new conception of sculpture based exclusively on its images from the painterly point of view. The limitation of distinction that can be drawn between the two- and three-dimensional yields a new conception of artistic space where the internal meets the external and painting meets sculpture.
